Position: Head of the electro-optics
research and teaching laboratories, Professor
in the E&CE Department of BGU,
faculty member in the Electro-Optics Unit of BGU, and
fellow of the Optical Society of America (OSA).
Research Areas: Optical computing,
image processing, holography, diffractive optics, interferometry,
pattern recognition, optical tomography, and statistical
optics.

Katz
Degrees:
B.Sc.-CSE (2002, BGU), M.Sc.- EO (2006, BGU).
Position: Lab-coordinator
of the advanced multimedia laboratory, and an assistant
teacher at the CSE Department of BGU. He is about to
start his studies toward his Ph.D. degree.
Research Areas: Image and video processing,
transmission of multimedia over wireless and IP networks,
optical holography, computer-generated holograms, and
hologram compression.

Research Areas: Holography, optical
computing and processing, solving hard combinatorial
problems using optics, optical logic-gates, optical
correlators, and photorefractive crystals.
