After
studying Physics and Mathematics for a BA at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and
Electro-Optical Engineering for an MSc at Tel-Aviv University ,
I completed a PhD (1996) in Computer Engineering at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev , Israel.
During the time after obtaining my BA, I spent eight years doing Research and
Development in Electro-Optics in different environments.
As a Research Fellow, I spent approximately two years (1996-1998) at the Neural Computing Research Group at Aston University, Birmingham, UK, and another two years (1998-2000) at the Computer Laboratory of the University of Cambridge, UK. In addition, I lectured in the Computer Science Department at Anglia University, Cambridge, UK until August 2000.
In September 2000, I joined the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Ben-Gurion University as a Lecturer. I became a Senior Lecturer in October 2003. In October 2007, I moved to the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at the same university.
In addition, I consult to the Hi-Tech industry in applications requiring machine learning (pattern recognition) and data mining solutions.
